People in which profession have the most hubris about their line of work?

Got to go with the military, right? I can't think of any other profession where people are so proud of their jobs even after they are long retired.

Call an emt an ambulance driver and you'll hear a ten minute diatribe on how important they are and why they aren't just an "ambulance driver". Also firefighters are pretty high on themselves...

They are A-OK in my book. A few months ago I was never so glad to see anybody walk through the door in my life.

Doctors. I say this with respect for the profession, but there are plenty of them who absolutely cannot distinguish their opinion from fact.

I wouldn't really say the military is a job. It's basically welfare for those who can't get real jobs.
