Believe it or not it’s a real thing. It sounds like something a petty 5 year old would concern themselves with but people lose their mind about silly stuff when they think they are somehow being slighted.
Most people have no idea how a restaurant kitchen operates and aside from a few “quick service” chains most kitchens don’t have a first check/ticket in first out system. I work part time at a restaurant and I openly giggle when a grown adult asks me why that table over there got their food before them. My place does between 700-1200 people in a shift so it’s pretty high volume and this happens quite a bit.

Get a buddy and one of you cook a raw chicken breast to completion, while the other one finishes and plates already half cooked food. Which one takes longer?
It doesn’t take a genius to realize someone ordering a pasta dish, soup, casserole type item, etc is going to get their food quickly because it is typically already cooked.
Chicken, burgers, pork chops, etc have to sit on the flat top for much longer.

Sorry. Truck nuts don't work inside. They should have warned you about that when you bought your F250 baw...

Is it a table that has the same amount of people as your table will have? That often plays a factor.
