I don't know. They're in the war business and that means dead soldiers and you have to do something with soldiers who are killed. Unlike SOME areas of the federal government whose ill-prepared incompetence has been on show from the beginning of this whole thing, the Pentagon is proactive and doesn't wait until there are 60,000 dead soldiers before it buys 50,000 body bags.

Current CDC projection models has a range of 41,399 - 177,306 deaths through August 1st with a median of 93,765.

New York leads all stats with a median projection of 16,090.

Louisiana has a median projection of 1,934.
