the estimates assume you are staffing the place better than downton abbey. No one would do that, thats why the $100,000/month estimate is ridiculous.

87 can't stand being wrong so it's pointless to keep going. He ignores post that he has no answer for because it's inconvenient for his argument.

Again, I have first-hand info on a ranch with cutting horses that cost 6 figures+ and about a 10K sq ft house on it and it's not costing $100K per month to run. There's way more involved in running it than there would be this house.

Facts? You provided an article full of speculation with no geographical specific area that takes a broad range of possibilities into account. That's hardly facts.

But you really shouldn't rely on articles from Forbes "contributors".

It is twice as much as you provided. Also, you were the one that attacked my viewpoint, so you should have had some proof while calling me out. However, I have still provided more support for my statement than you have

Not really considering I provided an actual first-hand account I am familiar with yet you skipped over it twice now because it contradicts your horrible speculative article.

I provided first hand accounts too. But you decided to attack me and my profession. Look, you came in and flamed the shite out of me in here. I then provided articles that backed up my claim and you wont tip your cap at all. That is pretty weak

that wasn't WSJ, that was WSJ commenting on an article from Celeb Staff magazine (that they even had to clarify that it was a real magazine). Which seems to be put out by a staffing company run only out of New York and Beverly Hills that would greatly benefit from dumb rich people thinking that staffing a house really cost that much.

I posted this Article with no extrapolation. Dont be a liar Croacka, you are a good poster

quote:

A “large estate,” at 10,000 to 30,000 square feet, can run you more than $1.5 million a year. That includes an estate manager (which the magazine says is “mandatory”) at $100,000, three housekeepers, a laundress, head chef, cook, at least five security personnel and “a whole lot more.” Add in other operational costs and the yearly price tag could run as high as $2 million.

Andre Bruni (the purchaser) owns a bunch of those dental practices in Super Wal Marts. Dude must be making insane bank. Still, that house is a monstrosity and wasteful. Would much rather have a pimp 2,500 sq foot condo in NOLA and a modest house in BR and invest the rest.

Mukesh Ambani, a business tycoon and the wealthiest man in India with an estimated net worth of $22.3 billion, resides in the world’s most expensive home with his wife and three children. This 400,000-square foot home is 27 stories high and employs over 600 domestic staff. According to Celebrities Concierge & Staffing Services, it would cost in excess of $100 – $300 million per year to maintain this sort of staff.

based on my math, if a 400,000SF house costs $300 million to staff, then a 30,000SF house would cost about $22.5 million/year to staff. I think 87 may have actually underestimated in his initial guess.

So stick to attacking extrapolation and ignore the part where I then referenced an actual quote speaking of a house that is 30,000 sq ft. Solid move
