This information is not accuate. No one was unfound in the pool for days or found days after hanging themselves as referenced on this thread. Anyone who may have actually passed away in the home would have been a family member or an extremely close family friend and no one by the name of “Gene” for sure. All should let this family and their close friends keep the memories of this lamdmark home close to them without gossip forums full of inaccuracies. The family who owned this home and land has done nothing but enrich and support the Baton Rouge community for many, many years. Surely this community can respect that and spare them and those close to them the false commentary.

I haven’t seen a bad word about the family in this thread.
I think everyone is well aware of the largesse they have provided this community (BR). There is a lot they do that nobody knows about as well.
