Anyone receive a weird spam looking email on gmail accounts that claim to have Pegasus spyware installed on your phone and demanding $2k in bitcoin? They listed my contact info, a photo of my house street view, and the demand.

Sounds legit. You should pay.

As the official information security advisor of the OT, I suggest you do not engage with that e-mail.

Tbh probably pretty easy to find all that info with just a email address if you are active online.

Is that the one that begins:
“Hello Pervert!”

“Hello Pervert!”

Send me the cash, and I’ll get the bitcoin to them.
I have a ton of experience here- you will definitely be in the clear after

DO NOT OPEN IT!!!!
But make sure you forward it to all your personal and business contacts so they can be aware.

Similar but this time according to Reddit and the thousands of others that received this same email today, they used my full name, street address, phone number, and street view of my home. It’s a little unsettling.

Hell, it’d be cheaper to buy a new phone

I got the something very similar.
I do question the veracity of the email though. The guys in the videos weren't that short.
quote:
Hello pervert, I want to inform you about a very bad situation for you.
Have you heard of Pegasus? It’s been a few months since I installed it on all your devices because you were not quite choosy about what links to click on the internet. During this period, I’ve learned about all aspects of your private life, but one is of special significance to me.
I’ve recorded many videos of you jerking off to highly controversial porn videos. You are a big fan of gay midget fisting videos?
I doubt you’d want your friends, family and co-workers to know about it. However, I can do it in a few clicks. Every number in your contact book will suddenly receive these videos.
Transfer $599 USD to my bitcoin wallet:
*removed for safety*
Once I receive confirmation of the transaction, I will permanently delete all videos compromising you, uninstall Pegasus from all of your devices, and disappear from your life. You can be sure – my benefit is only money. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be writing to you, but destroy your life without a word in a second. I’ll be notified when you open my email, and from that moment you have exactly 48 hours to send the money.
I strongly warn you against the following:
1) Do not reply to this email. ******** is your address!
2) Do not contact the police. I have access to all your devices, and as soon as I find out you ran to the cops, videos will be published.
3) Don’t try to reset or destroy your devices.
Good luck, my perverted friend. I hope this is the last time we hear from each other. And some friendly advice: from now on, don’t be so careless about your online security.

Seems like a scam with elements added that you could google to scare you more.
If someone can get Pegasus on your phone, this is not how they would let you know.
Edit: A lot of what they showed you is OSINT kiddie stuff that they can get from a bill of yours and just dig on your address.
If they show you screenshots of conversations you’ve had but deleted, well that story has legs, baw.

Guess I’ll report and hope they don’t show up for their sake.
