Gotcha, you just go out of your way to throw other peoples time away. Makes sense.

I've done plenty for my friends and family, and I wouldn't call it throwing away. Clearly you don't have people that care about you if that's how you view it. Sucks to be you.

ETA: Clearly it's different if someone is travelling regularly for work and wants you to do this. That person should deal with it on their own as they are likely reimbursed for whatever cost is associated with their travels.

Park N Fly is a no brainer. I parked for under $80 for 10 days in December.

From the time I drop my wife and daughter off at the curbside location on level 2, I was back being dropped off by Park N Fly in less than 13 minutes.

I think it's $8/day at MSY

Nah, its more than that $14/day for long term, short term is $17/day and their "credit card lot" is $10/day.

I can't imagine asking someone to be inconvenienced and take me to the airport. If I can't afford parking I shouldn't have bought the plane ticket.

I used The Parking Spot in Nashville with my company discount.

Its wonderful and they bring you to your airline desk in a limo. Really cheap. I know they are in lots of cities.

I will say this, it is mostly from people that don't travel often.

It's not quite the same (I guess), but my wife brings me and picks me up almost every week I travel (around 30-35 a year). I still get to charge $25 each way for "taxi" expense, so I make an extra $1500-1800 tax free per year.

You convinced me. Next time you need to go anywhere that requires paying for parking just give me a call. Maybe the quarter, convention center etc. I will drop what I am doing and come pick you up and drop you off where you need to be. Then I will go on about my day until you call me to come pick you up. There is no need for you to spend that 20 bucks.

You reading skills are incredibly fine tuned. Must be a real fancy job you have out there by the airport.

I always arrange for a driver to take me there and bring me back home. It's not much more than parking my car for two weeks and driving home in Houston traffic after a 15 hour flight is downright miserable.

No one I know asks their parents/friends to drop them off and pick them up for Saints/Pelican games.

I used to do this.

I bring friends to the airport all the time. It's what friends do. If it is an inconvenience or they're busy, I take a cab. What's the big deal?

My sister (no pics) is notorious for this shite. I'm not a damn car service. I don't even drop my wife (again, no pics) off at the airport.

If I am going on a long trip I always ask a friend/parent to drive me. I would expect them to ask me to do the same for them. People help each other out, it's called being a good friend.
