There are racist, overzealous black hospital cops, too. If you're ever so unfortunate as to have a loved one stuck in a New Orleans hospital, you're likely to run into one. And yeah... they won't let you take jack shite outside, especially if you're white.

Too many bad apples walk out of hospital with iv so they can shoot up... police are always called, major liability issue for hospital

Removing an IV is performing a medical procedure. At the least have the cop arrested for practicing without a license. Sure, it's a very simple procedure normally, it's the not normal occasions that make it require a certified, licensed, medical professional of some sort or fashion (nurse/dr/radtech/etc.).

If true, that’s some B.S and I feel for that dude. If I was in that situation, I would have bust my arse inside the hospital (not sure how far he was) and like yell for my doctor and hope it works out.

If the days were added together I’ve probably spent more than 3 months walking outside hospitals with my kid hooked to an IV machine.
