This is one of the most awkward social situations I can experience. That and having someone stop and talk like old pals and you don't know who in the frick they are but know that you should. Usually it's a friend of my wife or their husband or someone who's kid went to school with or played a sport with mine 15 years ago.
I hate when that happens.
