was the tragedy in question at least 51% or more caused by Southwest's negligence in maintaining their fleet?

What if it was only 1% caused to their negligence? They still would owe bigly...

A 6 figure settlement plus funeral expenses should be enough for a freak accident. Instead we have people wanting 7-8 figure settlements.

That’s the price you put on your wife, the mother of your children, being killed and sucked out of a window at 30,000 feet?

How does not have time to go by ship but yet he’s been in Dallas for 29 years. That doesn’t make any sense.

There are likely people that will never be able to fly again due to trauma and pure fear, which def changes your life quality

Which is why the 1,000 in free flight vouchers may not have been the bet idea.

So in a total loss of life incident, the airline should get off with no damages?

Generally age and income determine what you get

If you are 80 you will not get much but if you are 8 it could be high because you lost your lifetime income.

Pain and suffering is not the same in all states and some states have no financial compensation for pain and suffering at all.

For a 10 million settlement loss of life would have to be very young or you would have to earn a fairly decent salary on a regular basis. Then they will discount that and pay out on a current dollar basis. Like folks that win a 300 million lottery get "discounted" down to 150 million or less in a lump sum.

but I don't understand why people, who were not injured, would try to sue.

Because scumbag PI lawyers have everyone thinking they desrve to get paid for any instances.
Same reasons why you can't have nice park equipment anymore. Now when a kid gets hurt the parents sue.
So on, it's ruined almost everything.
