They set these up right before the Camp road exit on I-20 in West Ouchita all the time. There is not a real reason for anybody other than the 5 people that live around there to take that exit. So anybody that bails off they'll assume they are riding dirty and invent some reason to pull them over.

Is it possible they set up on the backroads that run parallel to this highway to check people that had gotten off the highway after seeing the sign? Do cops do that?

Can't see any other reason to alert drug mules that there is a checkpoint ahead

I saw the exact same thing 30 miles outside of Jackson on Hwy 49. It was Memorial Day Weekend. Same sign. Never saw a checkpoint.

That's the biggest crock of shite I've ever heard, and I can't believe the court accepted that as fact (including believing the officers).

You are getting pulled over, period, if you get off at the dead exit. Any cop who tells you otherwise is lying.

I had some friends exit then get back on when they had one of these on I-20 and the cops pulled them over. They were with one black dude and they said they questioned him super hard but realized they were just high school kids messing around finally.

I see these on I-20 all the time. One time when I really don't have anything to do, I'm going to turn on the recorder and hit a dead exit.

If drug Checkpoints aren't legal then how are DWI checkpoints legal?

Nvm, thought about for a sec.

If by thought about you mean the Supreme Court completely made up a fictitious rationale for DWI checkpoints not grounded anywhere in the Constitution, then you did well good sir.

It's basically a hollow document at this point. The Supreme Court has exceptioned that shite to death.

The First Amendment literally has not one single exception for free speech. Our court recognizes that for corporations, but not for private citizens.

They do this shite in Georgia too. They wait to see who dips off the exit ramp before the fake checkpoint.
