Most of the guys who cut up scrap are minorities these days.

Assuming no one is hurt... is anyone else secretly wanting this crane demo to go completely wrong? These controlled explosive guys are typically spot on, but an up-close camera on there face when something falls the wrong way would make for good live TV.

Any news on timing of implosion?

Who thinks the counter balance pokes a hole in Rampart and ends up in China?
That would be explosive considering there is a 24” gas main running under Rampart.

Hell no. I want all of the surrounding buildings to be spared any damage.
I mean I guess I would be ok with one of them falling into the street and creating a massive hole.

God no. It has added about 5 minutes to my commute home.
No doubt there are a lot of wishcasters in the thread.

You're right that was selfish... my inner child got the best of me.

I'm sure they would be shutting the gas off won't they?

She’s so eloquent though. There are so many smart capable people to run and fix the city and the citizens keep picking these types.
About a solid a source as is possible is that she knows that she is in over her head and the Uptown "Republicans" who supported her were merely hogs looking for a flunkie so they could stay at the trough. She has actually been working closely with Trump's people, since before this. Politically it is a helluva a balancing act for her.
I about crapped myself when he told me that.

Straight from the Kailas website

I would pay closer attention to the structural engineering design firm on this one.

I know the construction drawings have been published online for this project.
I'm having a very hard time believing that any Structural/Civil P.E. would stamp these drawings knowing that there was a flaw in the design that would result with the possibility of a catastrophic failure. If so then it was a major oversight on the firms part that shouldn't ever happen.
I'm still believing that the construction crew foreman or some person in charge was cutting corners in order to save cost/time & production.

I think that's why we are all watching. At the same time New Orleans has a lot going on in the next 4-5 months and I want this to be cleaned up as fast as possible.
