lol I was hoping someone who took a knee in that field the same day would get my cryptic message.
That’s a shame, he was a good guy and a great coach. A baw’s gonna do what a baw’s gonna do.

The staff directory photos are awful. The facial features of the staff members are so stretched and distorted that it’s ridiculous.

Interesting outlook.would you mind sharing a specific example of an environment in Louisiana where a child doesn’t have access to a free K-12 education?

Looks like some state are way better at working the ACT system than Louisiana
It works both ways, Louisiana is #15 in SAT scores

That's because only kids that want to take the SAT take it. The state makes the "D" students take the ACT.

Don't think you're seeing the point. It's not about access to a public education. It's about being around family members and friends who speak often and with advanced vocabulary, having access to cultural experiences, books in the home, being read to, provided quality food and health care, and tons of other variables.
Tons of public school kids score in the 30s annually as well. What's the difference, then, between private and public school averages? Obviously, it's not just teaching.

I agree with your general point. I think you are underestimating poor families and overestimating more well-off families as far as the home environment goes though. Some of the most neglectful parents around are the ones with the most money. I wasn’t implying that the teachers themselves were necessarily better teachers, but according to my sister’s experience it’s not just about the “teaching”. The school itself and the experiences the school provides along with the fact that the teachers can focus on teaching and not constantly having to maintain law and order and keep the peace contributes to the positive learning environment. I don’t have kids, but if I did, they would obviously be black and I would want them to go there. The original question was, “Why would a black parent send their kids to Parkview?”. That’s why, in my opinion. I don’t disagree with your general point though.

Parkview’s always had some in house drama. There was an extramarital affair between staff when I was in middle school that produced a child and no one was even suspended over that.
The pruitt’s?

Never saw that question. I was speaking about the comparison of public vs private ACT scores as a measure of objective quality of education.

Surely if it's something with a student/kid, he would be fired/arrested and not placed on leave. Right?
With today's liberal push, in a liberal city like BR, in the liberal field of academia?
...yeah, I wouldn't bet on it.

But a child was produced from an affair correct?
Posted on 10/15/24 at 8:08 pm to Shexter
I don’t know about those allegations but I personally know a kid who was sexually assaulted by another student and school administrators let the kid withdraw.. he wasn’t expelled. And the parents of the other child were told it would be best not to draw attention to the matter. Basically shut up about it. My kids didn’t go back the next year. Worst school experience by far. No telling what this guy did and I’m sure we’ll never know.

They have black kids at Parkview? What black parent sends their kid to Parkview?
Didn’t Ryan Clark send his daughter there?
He doxxed a White teenage girl on twitter even though she had already been removed from school, and her singing rap lyrics on snapchat with the n word weren’t specifically directed at his daughter or at him. He then accepted condolences on twitter for having to deal with such things from a HS teenage girl like he was a little bitch including from other blacks like Marcus Spears who were writing off the teenage girl for life without seeing any irony in having that opinion.

There’s only one die hard Duke fan I knew at Parkview, and it would make sense why you couldn’t fly the home colors until more recently.
If that’s you, I’m happy for you. Congrats on where you got.

Sure but it’s a chicken and the egg argument. Statistically, we know that people on the lower end of the socioeconomic spectrum have lower average IQ scores. We can go round and round as to whether that is the cause of or the result of the dysfunction. It’s obviously a perpetuating cycle.
