I thought Ascension public schools, other than Donaldsonville area, ranked higher than Parkview.

I pulled mine out of ascension schools and put in Parkview.

The LGBTQ flags in the classrooms were a bit too far for me….as well as the homecoming court with trans kids.

I moved to Prairieville to get away from that crap and avoid private school tuition. And here I am living in ascension and paying 20k/year for Parkview.

I doubt he ever works in education again.

Quite the opposite. My mom was bayou catholic, making me not good enough for any school as deemed by the city catholic caste of BR.

Parkview had a place for me and I was able to thrive there. I went there for 13 years.

They don’t care how God made you, they care more about where he’s taking you.

That is not my recollection. I remember a coach teaching computer science, another coach’s wife and daughter being teachers, and my friends’ moms teaching almost everything else.

There was also that other coach who used to get boners in class, and that younger coach who was fricking a volleyball player. I think that one also tried to sell us weed at Cortana a few years later.

For what? He was in a consensual relationship with another adult. Unless she has filed suit saying she was coerced due to his position (she hasn't).

If this would have happened at a public school it wouldn't have even made the news.

I would be shocked if she doesn’t sue. That said the only things I know about the situation is what I read on this site.

The recollection feels cherry picked.

Any memories of gun issues? When did you feel unsafe there?

With the Cortana reference and the correlation to a coach teaching computer science, doesn’t seem like computer science was at the forefront of the times.

There wasn’t a computer science class there when i went, just keyboarding.

Also a comp sci major out of college will only know how to build what was related to the content of his class projects. Aka not a determining factor of employment. I’ve done more software engineering and testing effectively with non comp sci majors ftr. Any of them with ego issues I consider unteachable.

My HS chem teacher was a retired professor and all of my other science, language and math teachers still stand out.
