Do you need to pay it? What can Texas do to a Louisiana resident about a parking ticket?

I would imagine nothing, however if you ever get pulled over in Texas, you may have an issue.

You can probably talk your way out of the arrest warrant.
ETA: to avoid any chance of arrest here in Texas, blend in by driving in the left-hand lane at 5 MPH below the speed limit at all times.

I would not pay a City of Houston parking ticket.
They shouldn't host large events if they don't have adequate parking. They shouldn't invite out of town guest if they're just going to stick them with a fine for a so-called parking offense.
You should have found a thank you note under your windshield wiper expressing their gratitude for the money you spent in their fair city.

The way things and computers and government are today. You might get your license suspended... Just pay it and move on...

This…I got a ticket in Georgia. Didn’t pay it, turned into a warrant, turned into me being detained for 2 hours in a jail cell in Los Angeles after an international trip
ETA it wasn’t a parking ticket, but tickets and fines can get out of hand if you neglect them
