But did they back into the spot?

Try the door handle next time. Hopefully it'll still be wet when they return.

I can’t stand when someone tries to back in a spot between two vehicles toward the front of the parking lot and it takes them 2 or 3 tries to get straight.

This isn’t about backing in. This is about a large parking lot with dozens of spaces and only one car parked in the middle of it all then someone pulling in and parking next to that one car.
WHY
WHY

You’re mad because someone parked in an empty parking space?

If you aren’t a pro at backing in, don’t even bother! Park in the back podna

Why do employees at places like Target park as close to the door as possible?
Last time I went with the wife to Target the whole front half of the parking lot was reserved for online pickup. It’s like they don’t want anyone coming in the store.

Park in back and walk, you'll avoid most of the socially inept people jockeying for parking spots up close.

Parking lot etiquette
My only pet peeve is the people who take the best spots only to sit in their car scrolling on phone. I park, enter the store, shop, checkout, return to my car, drive home. They’re still sitting in spot #1 looking at their phone.
I’ve been in parking lots where no less than 10 people were sitting in the car driver seat looking at phone. Be a drone if you want, but seems like you would park further away and not have hundreds of people walking past your car to get into the store.

I do this. Usually in an empty lot you are parked as closely as possible to the entrance. Well, I try to as well. There are limited spaces next to the entrance. Inevitably we will park next to each other. It's not as big deal as some of you are making it out to be.

Or the same ghey bastard that picks the urinal right next to you when there's 6 other urinals to pick from.

it's like fishing. if one person is there, it must be a good spot.

Because "door dingers" are such social creatures.

I have no idea of my driver's thoughts on this matter.

Same
I park in back near a cart corral

I always choose the empty portion of the lot if available. People don’t care if they ding your door and it easier to get in and out.
