Of course they are. They obviously have nothing better to complain about

I mean...kindergarten graduation has been around for a very long time

I would be bummed if my daughter's school didn't do it

if its fun for the kids, why not do it?

No they had full graduation ceremonies with caps and gowns just like high school and college. It's retarded, mine was in 85.

Ah...I honestly don't remember if we had gowns or not. I know I have a school pic with a cap and gown.

If they do, I don't see the issue. Sounds like a nice moment for kids and their parents.

Yeah but we've had posters say they didn't have one as well. So it's something that isn't done at every school.

not having a ceremony is gonna not allow them to post a million pictures of their child in a cap and gown on fb

I once saw a little kid wearing a T-shirt with his kindergarten classmates' signatures on them, like high schoolers have.

I thought it was great and wish ours did that.

Good question.

I agree it sounds like a harmless thing to have but can also see the other side of it, that it isn't something that is absolutely necessary either.

I vaguely remember my K graduation. It made zero impact on my life. I'm sure it was an uplifting commencement address though if I could only remember it.

So, when you were 5, you actually thought to yourself that a Kindergarten graduation was lame?

Granted I don't have any kids so my timeline could be off, but isn't kindergarten basically coloring in the lines and napping?

Who the fvck needs a graduation ceremony for that?!?!

I specifically remember not wanting to be there and thought the event was stupid. I doubt my comprehension of it today is even remotely comparable if that is what you are thinking I meant by that comment.

We had to sing "we are the world." It was awful.

My sons daycare/ preschool is having a graduation ceremony.

He's gone there since birth, will leave right after he's five (60 months), and I have been paying around a $1000 a month. That's $60,000 I've dropped on his early education.

Those cheap bastards better have more then milk and freakin cookies at the graduation.

I'm ready to celebrate his preschool graduation and his starting public school.

It's for the moms more than the kids. The kids of course enjoy it because they're fricking 6. Just put some rum in a coke can and stay out of the way as much as possible.

Our school does it, but I don't understand this tradition at all. I think it's pretty dumb.

I keep asking my kids if they had a good day in pre-K almost everyday.

All are way past that except their maturity level.
