Exactly. We use the Life 360 app and really like it. Shows where he is, where he’s been, even how fast he’s been going.

Yeah, we use it. Especially after we heard that a friends son drove 110 mph on the way home after an organized dance with several kids in his car one night. Wouldn’t you want to know about that?

Yes. I track my sons phone with the Find Friends app.

Comes in handy especially during Mardi Gras when he’s galavanting all over Uptown.

I think we have some posters who don't have faith in their own parenting job.

And no I will never track my children.

I did with my daughter. And then it revealed that my ex-wife was living somewhere other than what she was telling me.

And all of a sudden, it didn’t work anymore.

True story...we have life 360 on our boys phones as well...1 week after getting his driver's license he takes my wife's Range Rover to church/Sunday school/ lunch with buddies...we call him at two and he says he'll be home within the hour...looked on life 360 and it showed him in a field..called between 3 and 4 repeatedly with no response...I drove out to where he was to find my wife's truck stuck..cost 300 for the tow... didn't drive again for a month

The Find my Friends app doesn’t tell you those type of things that I’m aware of. The app we use doesn’t keep a record of where the person has been or how fast they are driving.

Just where they are in real time. That’s all I’m concerned with.

we live in a dangerous world

I want to be able to find my child if it comes down to it

I likely will not track aggressively, but I want her to know I can, knowing that there are boundaries makes kids feel safe and loved

It's not about having my thumb on her neck, it's about keeping her safe

I want the ability to find my kid in the event he’s in trouble and doesn’t have the ability to call me and I’m not able to reach him. An app can tell me his last whereabouts.

Why would you not take advantage of the technology to keep our children safe.

It’s not about spying on them or trying to catch them doing something they’re not supposed to. That’s going to happen no matter what.

I just would like to know that I can locate him in case of an emergency as well as know that he’s safe.

Not really necessary, my house is the hang out, the kids are usually somewhere around the farm or in the pool or the media room or something.

Well here's something that I'm glad didn't exist when I was a teenager. Damn. Kids can't even be kids anymore.

But I'd track my kid, too.

I agree with this. But monitoring their content and monitoring their were abouts are two different things.

At some point you have to let your teenagers get out under their parent's wing. And like someone mentioned, and make mistakes, which they will learn from. It's better they do it early in life than when they are in their early to mid 20s...

I have the find friends app on for me and my wife, not like we are trying to hide where we are at from each other, and it helps so many times when one of us doesn’t pick up the phone.
