When I was younger, if I misbehaved in a super market or anywhere else in public, my parents put a stop to it. Now kids are free to run amok, scream and cry, etc and the parents do nothing about it. Makes going out a chore and annoying af.

try spanking one of your kids in public.

Cops will be there within 5 minutes.

I’m gonna tell my kids to go yell next to your table if I ever see you at a restaurant.

Next time, just send your husband to shop. Problem solved.

What gets me is when I go to church and the parents do not use the kids/cry room. They let them disrupt the entire service.

Nah he's not wrong. Parents, and people, in general, are inconsiderate assholes that lack common courtesy these days. Everyone is so self-absorbed that what used to be social norms are now foreign to the average person.

and don't bring toddlers and younger to R-rated movies

If you can't afford a sitter you can't afford the movie.

We don't take my 18 month old out in public at the moment.

Last time we went out to eat, she had a meltdown at the table. She gets whipped and knows she's supposed to behave. Sometimes things are not controllable

Let kids be kids, or they’ll end up like boring stick in the mud losers like the OP

I don’t necessarily disagree, but unless you have kids yourself you need to STFU.

Of if you don't teach them common courtesy and manners they will grow up to be entitled self-absorbed assholes like a large portion of millennials.

Walmart grocery pickup and Amazon means I don’t have to be around people anymore. You should try it.

Oh...the good old gatekeeping.

Why would this matter?

If you dont control them at home, you have already lost the public battle.

Its like taking a dog to a dogshow. If you didn't train it at home already, it's not gonna suddenly behave at the dogshow.
