This is still the worst for me and I used to not be like that at all.

As I stated earlier, I have had good luck with Modafinil.

You may or may not be able to order some online using Bitcoin. Just a rumor I "heard"

There are boards on Reddit for it and other nootropics that help a lot.

A medical doctor (pediatrician) still has to agree

Sure, if it's a shitty one than I agree with you. A good one is going to do more evaluations obviously.

Why are teachers diagnosing ADHD

LA teachers are among the dumbest in the country. I know a ton of them and would never allow them to diagnose a fricking cold much less ADHD

Lol I’ve filled out well over 100 in my career, 0 at my own behest. They come from the parents and doctors.

How dumb are you for thinking that a (LA) teacher can diagnose ADHD?

This teacher simply filled out an evaluation instrument, apparently on her own, and wrote “ADHD confirmed” at the bottom. That’s not a diagnosis, it’s more likely a response to having bitten off more than she can chew in the classroom management department.

Thats annoying that it's something that came up later. I've always had the "make up an excuse to do it later, and then last min rush" issue.

Noted..."wink wink"...I'll do some research on it. Just need something to take once or twice a week, and knock out that list of things I just put off.

I've scrolled thru them some. Not a fan of reddit at all. Was on there for around a month, and that place is horrible. I got a secret hidden DM telling me that they can't wait for people that think like me to die off out of society. Wouldnt let me respond with..."yeah cause my offspring won't think the same as me." After a few weeks of roaming around getting kicked out of "conservative" groups, I came across the Trump one. I was actually posting in the thread that got it banned. Haven't cared to go back ever since.

Why'd they want that? Are you talking about b/c of political beliefs or ADD/ADHD stuff?

Am I wrong in thinking that what gets diagnosed as ADHD can actually make a person better at some tasks and careers?

Can’t trust a teachers diagnosis. My 5th grade teacher diagnosed me as an a-hole, turns out it was ADHD. It was fun watching my mom lay into her after that, which I guess does make me an a-hole. Explains a lot now that I think about it.

ADHD kind of puts people more in "the now" compared to other people. Obviously, it is different from person to person. My son is probably "in the present moment only" 90% of the time. He seldom worries about the past or future, so he is a very happy young man. Brilliant in math (can't show the work though) and other things.

He is doing college but at a slow pace. He has worked in a lumber yard for a year (just turned 20). His boss called me a couple months ago saying he's never heard my son complain one time about anything. They know he can only receive 1 task at a time, but he does it exactly how they want it done and quickly. He's in biology. Only takes 1-2 classes a quarter though, straight As but again, not full time student.

ETA: I may be confusing on the spectrum with ADHD regarding "in the now", he's both.

What you described is exactly the journey my son took. He was seen by a doctor, then “evaluated” (questionnaires) then eventually tried to ween himself off of it as he got older. because no matter how many times he switched medicine, eventually the side effects would start messing him up.

oh no...I only lurked ADD stuff, and made social political opinion posts on my time there. Not sure which one, but could assume some that would trigger someone. So purely a political belief thing.

It was a weird msg set up too. Its like they created a new acct to just send me that and then deleted the acct. iirc it had no name to it, and made me think it was someone like a mod or reddit employee type of msg. Didn't have the "can't respond to this acct as they blocked you or acct is no longer active" msg either, but just greyed out and had their msg/date stamp.

That was me a few yrs back from Adderall. Problem was the drop off was horrible. Yeah I didn't eat for the 5 days I took it, but damn I binged on the 2 days I wouldn't take them. Cycling was key to keep it from losing its effects. Though I still feel like I've got lingering effects from being on it for so long.

NAC supplement was helpful on helping ween off.

This sounds about right, but problem is having "drive." No real "cares", unless you have a real reason too. Like major things, like having a family. But until then it's just take the day as it comes, and put stuff that don't really matter until tomorrow. Even things that do matter.
