Please Donate to Garrett Strong who has a very long road to recovery
Garrett Strong was paralyzed in a head on collision while on official business for the US Secret Service and will be faced with life time of medical costs. He is a really good guy who was getting ready to get married in 60 days.
Any amount of donations would really help him out. The person who hit him did not have insurance.

So was he running away from a hooker he tried stiff on the bill?

I heard about this when it happened and they were on duty. They will be well taken care of by the Fed Gov, as it should be, and I don't want to be seen as a dick but why do they need donations?

I predict 0 on the sympathy meter here. Maybe if he was guarding Putin instead of crybaby O, then perhaps people would donate and help.

The Govt won't take care of this?

Don't be an a-hole. These guys were out doing good work when they got injured.

This will not be an issue, if he was on duty this will be treated as workers comp and he will be covered by the fed government , and he should be

I didn't want to be ugly either but had the same question. I would hope that the govt would take care of his lifetime of needs.

Well, perhaps. I mean, they do take excellent care of Veterans.

I imagine it'll be a similar experience to an injured soldier (though because the guy isn't military, he won't have to suffer thru using the VA). Govt will probably pay for medical expenses but not much for experimental treatments, specialized housing modifications or handicap vehicles, etc. I imagine as a young guy he probably didn't have a lot of savings, and this will wipe out a lot of $.

The military has denied benefits to thousands that served, and your worried about some secret service guy?
Posted on 1/6/16 at 9:39 pm to ihometiger
I'll leave that up to the overpaid people he protects.

I am sure obama will take care of him.
Wait, he was working?
Obama dont like folk that work. Probably give him workers comp to cover med bills and then make him pay taxes on it. Since he cant pay, sick the irs on him.

Work comp is going to cover this regardless of if the person that caused the collision had insurance.

He has some big connections in Dallas, apparently.

Was the person without insurance here illegally? I'm just going to guess the answer to that is yes and if the media is saying no, then the media is telling lies. Looks like He Who Cries A Lot should be paying this guy's bills plus $100k per year for the rest of his life. It's Man of Fake Tears's fault.
