Startron is a very good additive for ethanol in small engines. 100% gas is still the best option, though.

AutoZone sells Chevron w/Techron, Gumout, and 3M I believe. Those three are good and easily accessible. Most powerful is Amsoil followed by Redline

That is about as succinct as it can be stated.

quote:

The best bet is to use name-brand gasoline with good detergent additives. Injectors will last a long time if you do that.

Also, use the proper engine oil (weight/viscosity) and you'll probably never have any internal engine failure.

I'm not a big fan of any additive, except maybe gasoline preservatives.

You have a choice.... Either a gas adaptive from the store or filling up with 93 octane every 6 months. Depending on age of car. I always use chevron fuel system cleaner. Seems to work fine for me.

I never use any additives in anything. ( sta-bil for the boat, non-ethanol gasoline)

Chevron gasoline, 95% of the time.

Shell 93 octane and Quaker State Ultimate Durability with Royal Purple filters. Been pretty happy with those. I run 3M cleaner through it every third tank (165 gallons). It is also important to have a good air filter, and not one you can see through like a K&N. Paper is the best for filtering, but there are some good aftermarket ones

I've been looking at 3M. But was wondering on how effective it is.

They have a fuel system kit that is supposed to be pretty good, but I usually use stuff I have around the house, and just buy the injector cleaner

I have an 2013 S65 AMG. I'm looking for an additive that will help avoid taking it to the shop, for obvious reasons.
