Sabi eat a sweet potato with almond butter on it. Very good and has carbs, fats and protein.
Ate that with a protein shake before my last half marathon. Felt great!
I don't eat breads or rice being on paleo so fruit and veggies are my main carbs!

And honestly there isn't a huge difference between brown rice and white rice unless you're trying to drop a ton of fat. It's just a few less chemicals in brown rice.
Dr, are there any benefits of taking a tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil as an energy boost before working out?

sabi more then likely you are exhausting you liver glycogen during the workout. do like doc said and have a couple of pieces of fruit before you workout. it will help make sure liver glycogen is full before the workout.
BTW this isn't advice for those trying to lose weight only for sabi.

Ever tried a pre? I'm no expert, but if you wanted to take the guess work out of eating, just do that. I have some I take when I feel sluggish and think my workout will suffer bc of it.

brown rice is brown rice. i love it. still certain things i prefer white rice with (gumbo, anything w/ a gravy...of course those meals are infrequently)
quinoa and cous cous are legit as well.

There's recent fitness literature that says it accelerates fat burning, but there's no medical or scientific literature behind it. So, I don't know if I'd recommend it, but if you're feeling adventurous go for it. I would give yourself some extra time before working out though as it's a lot of saturated fat and slow digesting.

Doc... I've been reading that there are high arsenic levels in brown rice.. is this a problem or does cooking it remove some of it?
I've never heard that. If it's true, I should be dead by now.

I have one before almost every workout.
I alternate between Beachbody E&E, Amino Energy, and MP Assault.

Yeah, it's in the germ which is removed to make white rice. It has higher levels than white rice, but I don't know how much exactly.

Asylum is 30 days?! I want to try that. Did you do it?

That's good to know. I always thought all organic arsenic is harmless. I thought only inorganic arsenic is superbad for you. I guess I was wrong.

No I haven't but I want. Looks badass. Shaun T workout with pull-ups!
Posted on 3/28/14 at 4:54 pm to DrTyger
Really? It doesn't come with a pullup bar.
Posted on 3/28/14 at 4:57 pm to DrTyger
Damn, that's awesome. And it's two volumes? I think I might get this over X3.

Don't know about that Sabi. If you still plan to do it with T25 you'd be overdoing your cardio.
