Thanks for the website fitmencook.com. Looks right up my alley. I'm a big cook and I have to have variation. Looks like this will help.

I'm really proud of her.

She always looked good, but now she looks like she should be in magazines.

So I started X3 a couple weeks ago... been working out everyday except Sundays. I've lost maybe a grand total of 1 pound.. For diet I've cut out soda and sugary foods.. Been trying to stick to grilled chick and salad , etc.. What gives??? Do I need to double up? Though I've seen some visible changes in my arms and chest feels a little bigger and stronger. I'm not seeing the massive and immediate drop in pounds like I got with regular p90x

So I would say a few things about your current situation.
1. It's only been a few weeks. If this is your first time working out hard for a while then you may be losing fat, but your body is retaining water like crazy while it adapts. If that's the case, all that water weight should come off in at the most 4 weeks.
2. Do you know how much food you're getting in your diet? Are you meeting your macros? Following the nutrition guide?
3. If you're seeing difference in your muscles, then it's possible you're gaining muscle on top of losing fat. I don't have a lot of fat to loose, and 10 weeks in to P90X3 I've actually gained a little weight, but I know none of it's fat.

Now, do you have any idea what you're supposed to be eating.

I can use the Mifflin-St Jeor formula to calculate your daily caloric needs. I don't know your age so I'm just going to guess 35.
With that I get 2903 for maintenance and 2323 for fat loss. Are you going over that?

You don't necessarily have to count every calorie, but you need to have some kind of accountability system for what you're putting in your body.

I have a question about pull-ups. I use the doorway bar, but at 6'4" I have a difficult time (a) executing the pull-ups, and (b) using the best technique. I am a week into p90x3 (did the lean program of p90x 2 years ago) and I suck at pull-ups.
Should I buy the bands or stick with the current pull-up bar? At 235 lbs, sometimes I think the door frame is coming down!

Barkus, here's a good youtube video that shows big guys how to do pull-ups.

LINK

Basically modify as much as you need to. Use a chair or a stool, bend your knees or even limit your range of motion if you have to.

The door frame bars are rated for 300 lbs. Just make sure you're using a strong doorway and the bar is nice and secure.

Thanks, Doc. Just as the Youtube guy, I also have broad shoulders and long arms. At 6'4" 235, I want to get down to 210 lbs.

Does anyone else have a house with wide doorways? There is literally only three doors in my house I could use my pullup bar on and they are all 3 bathrooms. It's kind of a pain to be in the middle of a workout watching the vid and leave the room to do pullups then run back in for the other workouts.

Suggestions? I hate the bands with a passion and would rather not use those.

I have a welder and was thinking about making my own, but it would probably leave marks and be heavy as hell.

I only have one in my house that it will fit in and it's a bathroom too.

Sucks having to change rooms, but you work with what you've got. Usually when a pull-up comes over I go over and do my reps then when I come back see where the DVD is. If it's still on the pull-ups then great. If it's past them and on to the next move then I just rewind a little bit and get caught up. NBD.

I'm in the same situation as yourself. I have to run upstairs to do the pullups. You do what you have to do.

I just got my coach thing back up and running. Basically just for the discounts on products. I did great on P90X a while back and have lapsed a lot and I'm tired of it.

P90X3 is just sitting there staring at me every time I walk in the living room! I broke it out last night and made myself sufficiently sore. Can't wait to get that feeling back!

Yeah, I hear ya. I was just hoping someone had a great idea that I haven't thought of. Sounds like I'll just be running around to do pullups. No biggie...

If you're drinking Shakeology you're already getting all that stuff and more. You don't need to take that stuff too. You'll just end up with expensive pee.

Should I use Shakeology as a snack? I don't need to lose anymore weight.

You can use it as a snack or just part of a meal.

I used it on Body Beast which the whole purpose of that program is to gain weight.

On body beast I would put the following in my shake:

1 cup milk
1 cup spinach
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 banana
1 scoop shakeology
1 scoop protein powder
1 cup almond milk

And I'd eat eat with cereal and a glass of orange juice. Was about 1,000 calorie breakfast every morning.
