Had a few too many shots Saturday/night and felt like absolute dog shite on Sunday. Spent most of the day recovering planning to get up bright and early this morning to do Eccentric Upper and then said frick that when 5:30am rolled around.

Oh well, sometimes shite happens. Just going to have to work harder throughout the week to make up for it somehow.

After going a round of P90X3 and then taking a break, I am now almost halfway into P90X (original). I definitely feel like the burn is far more intense than X3.

ETA: I did P90X for a year or so straight before the round of X3, but have now gone back to P90X.

Yeah, I wasn't nearly as satisfied with p90x as x3 that's why I switched to Body Beast.

Oh yeah, I did p90X last year and then did it again this year from January-Mar. Took a small break then started X3. Overall, honestly I probably like X3 more because I work out first thing in the morning and to be honest, 30 minutes is just sooooo much more preferred than an hour. Without question. But you're right, I feel like I'm getting a lot more of a workout with p90x.

Did eccentric upper this morning.

I'm just starting week 7, did EU yesterday. It was the first time I did the entire workout using the pull up bar, I used the assist band but used the pull up bar nonetheless.

I can most definitely tell a difference in my before picture and now half way. When I finish it I'll think about posting pics.

Okay, so I haven't gotten out of my lazy streak from this week and decided to say frick it and just take the week off. Diet is still going strong though and I've been hopping on the pull-up bar randomly just to do a little something.

I also saw this Bring Sally Up Challenge posted somewhere and figured it looked pretty brutal. I tried it last night and actually did better than I thought I would. I made it to roughly 1:36 in before crashing out. But I quit before my form went to complete shite like some of the cheaters in the video. I lasted longer than 2 people (yay I beat the girl!).

did MMX this morning to end the week on a good note. Heading to the beach in a few hours and get back Monday, I think I'm going to make next week a "rest week". Might just do some light cardio a few days during next week to stay somewhat in the habit then get back into the real groove on the 22nd.

I've been doing really well on my diet the last several weeks, so I'm worried that this weekend is gonna be bad. I don't get a vacation often so I'm going down with the intention of making this one count dammit, so needless to say that diet is going out the window for a few days

Im almost finished X3, and trying to figure out my next step. I want to try body beast, but Im not really interested in the bulking. I just want to build lean muscle and continue losing fat so I'll probably go back to the original p90x.

X3 was pretty good and I got good results, but it's just not for me. As much as I enjoy the 30 minute workouts I just never felt like it was enough. Plus having to buy ab ribber separately always annoyed me.

speaking of..how often did you do ab ripper? I know in p90x you're supposed to do it 3 times a week after the resistance workouts, but in x3 it never tells you (at least not on the guides I've seen) when you're supposed to.

They just say to work it in with your workouts. I haven't done about ripper at all but I've made a constant effort to flex my abs working out and I've seen a significant amount of improvement in my abs.

Things are a little crazy...been spending extra time at the girlfriend's place and there isn't a whole lot of room to workout...trying to find a new place to live and about to leave out of town for 4 days this week and then almost an entire week for the 4th. AKA lots of excuses as to why I'm not working out at the moment That said, I hopped up on the pull-up bar this week and knocked out 2 without much struggle and almost got number 3. I also managed to get drunk once last week and got bored and did 30 push-ups like it was nothing (25-30 I had to focus a bit) so I'm still feeling good about my progress and my diet is still going strong so at least I got that going for me.

I weighed in the other day at 207 and some change, down nearly 20 pounds since I started round 2 of x3 even with my break over the last week and a half. Still got a nice cushion around my mid-section that is going to take a while to get off, but I guess that's to be expected when a person has been fat for 25 years and lost the equivalent of a small adult woman

I'm in Slidell caring for my father-in-law for the week, so I'm working out at Planet Fitness. The manager there was kind enough to let me pay a cheap price for the week.

That thread is for another day.

BUT, I finally ordered Body Beast! I got the Ultimate Package. It should be at my house by the time I get home.

Well done. I think I'm going to start back up. I've got the original P90X dvd's that I probably need to break out. I'm 5'10 195 right now and want to try and get down to about 170. This belly is starting to get on my nerves

Nice! I've already noticed my chest and shoulders broaden and arms increase in three weeks than I did all of x3. Though I feel I've put on a little dough in middle I lost in x3.

Beast is hilarious. I thought his super bro meathead attitude would annoy me but it doesn't. And one work out he ask a guy a question the guy starts to answer him and beast says "Shhh! The beast is talking" he makes fun of guys from being girly men When they don't use high weights then turns around and says hey guys it's okay if you need to take a break and use lighter weights. But my favorite is the multitude of on-screen prompts that says to keep your workout area clean and put up your weights and the beast has like eight different dumbbells all around him .

The diet is definitely still helping my gains

Went home last night to pack for vacation today, hopped up on the pull-up bar and got 3! I was so freaking pumped, especially since I haven't done anything in nearly 2 weeks.

Also had a guy at work stop me yesterday to ask if I was back on my diet. I told him that I had been but was also busting my arse with my workouts and he kind of poked me in the chest and said he could tell I've been putting work in and that it was showing. Feels good!

I'm leaving for all-inclusive vacation in Mexico in one month. Been hovering around the same weight from when I finished X3. Went on vacation earlier in June and kids birthday last week, plus sickness this week. Been rough to startup a workout routine again.

Need to get back on. Finally ordered my Dumbbells and should arrive today. No more excuses. It's amazing how restarting it is so damn tough.
