Its why i can n3ver finish p90x. I get so mad when i dint know how to do something and cant figure it out. I end up getting so frustrated i go back to lifting weights. Thats why i watched all the videos of body beast before i started to make sure i knew how to do everything.

Btw this program is only $40 right now which is a steal.
I'm really tempted to jump on this and do the body beast lean plan. Maybe throw in some added cardio and yoga. Not trying to bulk, just lean muscle. Im in week 5 of p90x3 right now and I like it, but it just doesnt feel like enough.

I really only had that issue with the yoga, but I'm still in the 1st phase. A by chance of the movements are used over and over so you get familiar with them. My 2nd week workouts went way faster than my first.

Yea or you can use the exercise bands but i suggest dbs. And i highly highly recommend powerblock or ironmaster adjuatable. Do not get bowflew select tech or anything similar, they break very easy

Do it if you have the equipment or can afford it.
If you can afford it i highly suggest a power cage, bench, bar, weights to go with the dbs. I realize though not everyone can afford that all at once. I got lucky and scored a great cl deal but it still cost me over a grand, but in turn i have commercial quality equipment.

how much are you willing to spend?
for bar i suggest cap 86ob
for bench and powerrack, you can decide. but stick to 11g steal on both at a minimum. rogue, elitefts, edgefitnesssystems, blackwidowtg are just a few of the good manufacturers.
powerrack comparison
bench comparison
great value bench for the money
if you go with squat stands, make sure they have spotter arms for sure. I suggest power rack though over squat stands from a safety stand point. maybe start with squat stands and upgrade to a powerrack.

Body beast legs is stupid hard and kinda has a bunch of stupid exercises he does due the lack of equipment. i did heavy barbell squats then started the video, i was not prepared for the pace nor volume. Hopefully that will change over the next three weeks. Prolly gonna make changes as follows since i have the equipment.
Imo if you have the equipment due
1)Heavy barbell squats-3x5
2)goblet squat or front squat like the video
3)walking barbell lunges supersetted with barbell step ups, like the video but with a barbell.
4)straight leg dead lift
Then follow the video for the rest but prolly subbing in barbell for dumbbell on aome of the calf stuff.

I have a stability ball bc of X2. I just want the bench. I bookmarked your post so I know which bench to get.
I might do Pilates X in a minute. Can't sleep.

The Challenge and Ab Ripper X tonight.
Really enjoy The Challenge. Probably my favorite routine in X3.

I am doing Abs at the beginning of my workouts now. I found that tip on BodyBuilding.com

That's one thing that's not clear on doubles, which first. In the App, they switch every week.
I usually tend to go with whichever has no warmup first (cardio) as its more gradual. No idea if that's how it's designed.

Well, in X2, X2 Ab Ripper comes after the workout. The problem is you're completely gassed by then. I get a lot more out of X2 Ab Ripper now that I'm doing it at the beginning.

Running with these tired legs from T25 is starting to become easier. Hopefully I'll start see more benefits.
As far as Body Beast, I may have to do it at some point. I just dont know when I could fit it in my schedule until after the fall. I only need a preacher curl bar. I have everything else.

I may start doing that, I'm having trouble having motivation of getting through ab ripper after a workout.
Posted on 4/22/15 at 9:04 am to tke_swamprat
the workouts are usually only 45 min, its not super long but its a ton of volume during that time, not much resting.

I'm in the transition week of the P90X3 mass program. Warrior tonight and next week the fun begins with eccentric upper and lower.

Yeah, I don't know why Tony has always done it towards the end. And lots of the moves in Ab Ripper videos are complicated, which means it's easier to cheat. So, do them at the beginning so you're really getting the most out of it.

Thanks for the info. Looking at the power rack's I'm not sure I have room for one, but I maybe able to work it out if thats a direction I go. Def going to pickup a bench.
