i'm not doing ript circuit and am doing alpha TBC instead. the cardio-type stuff is much better in beta. if my fatass has the stamina to do it, you can (once you get 3-4 weeks of alpha done). i may also sub in the alpha ab intervals for some dynamic core. both are killers
Not gonna lie, this morning I was thinking that Alpha was a little too easy. Good workouts, but I don't feel like I'm pushing myself to the point of seeing real results. It's nearly the end of week 3 and everything, with the exception of TBC push up progressions and Lower Focus lunge progressions, is pretty easy. I made it through cardio this morning after lower focus last night without much trouble, despite my legs being a bit burned out. I feel like it should have been way harder given the lower focus the night before. I also don't feel like I'm getting much in the way of results. Yeah, I cheated this weekend - had a bunch of carbs - but most of that weight I gained this last weekend was the result of water retention. I lost 5 pounds in 2 days after getting back on the diet. But I feel like I should be closer to a flatter, more defined stomach and physique and I'm wondering if the answer is to move on to Beta.
Any thoughts? Or am I just really ready for the last week of Alpha where I do 3 TBCs in one week?

Day 2 of no workouts for me. Still sick. Def something going around.
Still sick too, but yesterday I promised a friend who's a trainer I would go to their workout class. Big mistake. I was fine through the workout but then I got home and felt like death warmed over.
ETA: oddly enough, I had some shakeology before the workout and was fine for the next hour or so. Interesting.

P90X3 in the mail. I'm hoping it arrives in time to start on Saturday. Pretty pumped about it...a little scared about it kicking my arse for a while, too.

Yeah there is def something going around. Lots of my fb friends from different states posting the same symptoms I'm having.
I finally went to urgent care yesterday(mainly to give paperwork to my job for missing work). My strep screen negative...likely something viral.
Dr did say they are seeing a surge of flu B right now. Said she would give me a flu test, but they are out. Offered me Tamiflu but since I've never had higher than a 100.4 temp I declined.

If it had been less than 48 hrs since you had the symptoms I still would've taken it.
Couldn't hurt.

we (wife and I) had a stomach bug that lasted 5 days (for me) and 6 days for her. It was freaking miserable. I had assumed it would pass over the weekend like most stomach bugs do in 24-48 hours. Ended up going to the doc-in-the-box on Monday and he told me not to go back to work until Wednesday. He said they had seen quite a few people coming in with this extended bug. I'm just now getting my energy back completely, probably going to resume my workouts on Monday starting block 2 after a week or so off.
