Hurt my left quad a lil bit during PAP Lower just now. I feels like a bad stinging sensation. Bout to bust that foam roller out and just marinate it.

Was supposed to start week 5 today with eccentric upper but the wife was giving me shite for wanting to workout on Easter while the kids were playing outside.

I may have yacked up BBQ if I did workout.

Did first workout for classic routine this morning.

Was pretty tough, but not day 1 insanity bad. I enjoyed it.

CVX will give you an Insanity-type arse kicking. I'm only on the first block so I can't talk about the other workouts.

Not to sound like an internet BA, but compared to my fat out of shape 210+ lb starting self of insanity 2 years ago, to my still moderately in shape 175 lbs i currently have, this whole thing will be good but probably a cake walk in comparison.

not saying i rule or anything, but throwing myself through the gauntlet of insanity makes any other workout a lot less daunting.

I understand where you're coming from. I'm starting my second round of Insanity (in combination with P90x3). I've only done the first week of P90x3 so I can't speak for the entire program, but so far CVX is the only one that kicks your arse like Insanity.

Going through Insanity definitely made me concentrate on my breathing to get through the tough workouts. It gives you skills that help get you through other workouts.

ETA: I would hold off on the "cake walk" comments until you've gone through the whole program. I have a suspicion that Horton turns it up later in the program.

ETA2: Does anyone know what Horton means by "court shoes"? Does he mean cross training shoes and are those an absolute necessity? All I have is running shoes.

Got it last year. I like lifting weights alot so naturally i enjoy body beast more than others, but it got me pretty ripped after I completed one round. Might incorporate more cardio days instead of lifting 5 days a week and just one cardio day.

he talks about it in the prewatch video. running shoes are for straight ahead shoes. cross trainers are for cutting and ankle support. when i started insanity i did running shoes and it killed my arches. switched to some good trainers and have been good ever since.

and i fully intend to get killed, just saying that after throwing up and swearing it off after my first 2 days of insanity, this seems like i will be able to handle the initial shock better.

That explains a lot. My feet killed me for the first few weeks of Insanity. I guess they just got used to it.

And I want to see anyone do the Max Interval Circuit and Max Interval Plyo without taking a break.

Did PAP Upper today. Tomorrow is Yoga. Then, since I'm leaving for Florabama on Thursday, I'm not taking a rest day on Wednesday. I'll just do Lower on Wednesday and Upper on Thursday before I leave. That way, I can just do another Yoga on Friday to finish up the week.

I'm getting to really like the Yoga workouts. Very relaxing.

Skakeology got you the Greek abs you been working towards? Sounds like you're gonna be beating them off with a stick, bruh.

i couldn't do any of the maxes without a break.

i did finish pure cardio without missing a rep once and my wife swooned.

i wouldn't trade 400 workouts from HS for those.

My abs show without flexing, so that's good. I'm white as a ghost right now. Hopefully the sun will give me more definition.

Bro, Shakeology has changed my game. My muscles are way more defined, and my poops are fantastic.

Sounds like Shakeology is the real deal. I'll get it when I recover from taxes and get a little slimmer.

I did really well with Pure Cardio this past week.

The first time I started Insanity, I did 15 minutes of the Fit Test, laid on the ground for 15 minutes trying to not throw up, and realized I need to prep for Insanity. I spent the remainder of the week running and getting myself ready.
