How many have you done so far?
Posted on 4/3/14 at 9:03 pm to DrTyger
I pulled my hammy playing softball and t25 isn't being very nice to it. Lower body focus is brutal to get through. Been two weeks since the original pull. Doc how long a pull normally last?

Depends on the severity but most get better in no more than 3 weeks.
Don't stress it while it's hurt. Take a break from all the craziness while it's healing. Working out while it's hurt only increases your chance of re-injuring it.

One more is the most I would do.

I want to take a break but it will stall my results. If it isn't better next weekend I'm have to take time off.

True, but if you hurt yourself worse and are out for months it will REALLY stall your results.

P90X3 came in today. Going through the fitness and nutrition guide tonight. The wife and I will start the program on Sunday.
Doc, I'm unsure if I should start with Classic or Mass. I'm 24. 6'1" 180lbs. Not much fat (between 12-14%) nor muscle either (
), although I would like to make that six pack more visible.
I saw in the "How To Accelerate" video that Tony recommends pretty much everyone go through Classic before switching to another version. Would you say the same?
ETA: I started reading this thread after I had already ordered the program, otherwise I definitely would have ordered through you. If I end up getting Shakeology or Results and Recovery, I'll go through you.

I didn't listen to Tony at first and started out doing mass. About halfway through I switched. The mass schedule is pretty repetitive and I found that I was gaining a little too much fat while eating so much and my cardio endurance was suffering. I think it's a good idea to at least do classic once through.
I ended up not gaining any weight, but not losing any either. Just got stronger and more lean.

Good luck, man. I can't wait to do X3.

That's what I think I'm going to do. I noticed the mass schedule didn't even touch some of the routines and I'd like to at least do them a couple times if I'll be doing this for 90 days.

I started reading this thread last week after I ordered. Your results in just six months are amazing. Big kudos to you sir!

Thanks, man.
I'm trying my best to gain mass, but it's a chore eating so much, especially since Shakeology is so filling.

Sabi, add some calorie dense stuff to your shake like milk and peanut butter. Will help to get a bunch of calories at once in liquid form.

Yeah, I do. It's like drinking cake batter.

Ok so this is crazy I'm in Week 4 of X3 and the first 3 weeks I loose really not one pound.. Week 4 this week the Transition i'm down 4 already and of course today is only Friday and I workout 7 days a week..So it's not over yet soooooo.. Is something wrong with me???

You're loosing your water weight. What happened was the intense exercise you did the first three weeks put stress on your body you weren't used to. So your muscles and your fat cells created their own osmotic gradient that made them swell up with excess water. So even though you were burning tons of calories and loosing fat, the excess water you retained evened out your weight.
Now that your body is used to the exercises and it knows it's not dying (
) it's not holding on to that water anymore and it's just coming off. I'll bet you've noticed something fitting looser or you've been peeing a lot this week, huh?

I finish week 1 of X3 today. Call me crazy, but I think these shorter 30 minute workouts are a little more challenging than the original P90X in terms of cardio. The pace is very quick so you end up breaking a really good sweat in just about every workout. In the original P90X, there were a few workouts where I really wouldn't break too much of a sweat because of the pace - Legs and Back, Shoulders and Arms. Or maybe I wasn't working hard enough.
In week 1 of X3, I broke a good sweat in 4 of the 6 workouts - Synergistics, Agility X, CVX, Warrior. The Challenge was a push/pull day and was tough in its own right.
I really like these workouts so far.

shite I felt like I was during Pilates ...
But this makes sense to me ...I Remember now that when I started p90x in '10 I was working at a Snap fitness gym for 6months before starting.. So I guess that's why I dropped weight so quickly that first go around...before starting x3 my workout routine was not intense or consistent

Yeah some of my shirts have felt a little less snug
