Start at 2:05 of this video from when Oz was on CNBC in December 2023 when he has the host open his book. This is insane:

That's just bull shite. He could've ripped any word out and her thought of any movie. The odds a random word in a book is Matrix has to be like 1 in 100,000 and then her think of that movie 1 in 500 which would give it a 1 in 50 million chance it works out. There's definite talk about what would happen before with the hosts, and told to both say it. Maybe offered cash.

I need more proof that they aren't in on it. Him simply saying that they aren't in on it is not enough. Need further proof and really only way is if he did it to me. That's only way I could sure iron clad know with 0% doubt.

Body language can't give away numbers. Like a person their eyes so many times for first digit? Grips hand so many times for 2nd digit? bullshite.

Most of the time the people clearly are genuinely bewildered and astonished. No way all of these people are that good of actors.

"Hey, here's $5,000 to say this or write this word down. Act super surprised when you're done. 1 million people are viewing this, so it'll help me get further gigs that will more than pay the $5-10k I just paid y'all."

If I were with him I would think most generic guesses. Like I would've chose on the CNBC the word A or The, or if I were Joe Rogan done 0000 or 9999 for pin code. Anything to screw with him because I just don't buy it.

He's so fricking annoying with his "This is gonna blow your mind ....you're gonna question reality....this book is gonna be worth a lot of money after this" bullshite that I can't take him seriously.

He just comes off as a very good mindreader/mentalist in the simplest of magician-type terms. I've seen the kinds of tricks he does on Penn and Teller's Fool You, for example. He basically got it wrong with the lady host several times before she wrote down the pre-determined correct answer of The Matrix. I mean shite, at one point he leans back and very directly looks at what she wrote down, and then he's all like "NO NO NO, don't show me!"

There was an already-prepared slideshow of the three comnaies on the TV. You think he magically made those appear? Or is it more likely that he knew the answer beforehand, and manipulated people into the "right" answer, which tied into the three companies that spelled out the movie?

It's cool, but it's basically party tricks.

The sixth sense in the second bit posted here was a third party intercepting Joe’s text and relaying the info to his earpiece.

Or even simpler, he contacted all 50 of the people and told them he was going to prank Rogan on air with mentalism, tell me the name of your first crush and your first kiss. Anyone that didn't play along didn't get included in the card deck. Plus, there seemed to be a little bit of card forcing, couldn't tell from video, but anyone that studies card tricks know exactly how that works.

I liked the part when he said Arkansas would win the college world series this year and also beat LSU in football

Yeah these millionaire athletes all can act genuinely amazed so well and are doing it for an amount of money equivalent to a rounding error on their finances. I'm not saying he's magic obviously, but I would bet a lot of money 99% of the people aren't in on it. He's just a great performer.

Oh and they never tell anyone about it.

I have no idea how he does this shite. He legitimately freaks people out. Like names a random childhood friend they're thinking about that no one could guess. I know the people he does it to can't all be in on it. Pretty wild stuff.

Dude probably did a bunch of psychedelic drugs and accesses a whole other dimension.

Only way I'll believe in his shite if he does it to me directly and succeeds. He's already been caught multiple times with bullshite like the different envelope for his F4 picks

All the people that he features have to be in on it.

You seem to be confused about him. He's not claiming any extraordinary capacity. He's says it's all just tricks. He obvioisly has deep and refined methods that make them seem unbelievable. But he stated multiple times in the podcast that he's not claiming any special capacity.
They even talked about The Telepathy Tapes, and arranging something where he plays the role of hole puncher to what they do. He thinks they're just doing tricks as he does.
I was disappointed with this episode overall because I've seen the tricks multiple times before. What I'd be interested to hear in an almost 2.5-hour podcast is some of the inner workings of the tricks. The methods. But there wasn't much of that at all except for a few vague hints that were so general that they weren't really meaningful.

Some of the more elaborate bits seem to rely on him guiding people in a direction they don’t realize they’re going but the name of someone’s first crush or their PIN number? I have no idea what he’s doing there.

That's why it would be interesting to know more of the inner workings. Because on the surface, it does seem inexplicable/magical.
The value in Joe's style of podcast would be going deeper into some that stuff. But Joe didn't make that much of an effort. He just said he'd like to know, but he knew Oz wouldn't tell him. Instead of putting that framing on it, why not try to get him to unpack some of that process? I mean, Joe has sway. He's the pioneer of podcasting as we know it. But he didn't get Oz to open up much at all. We got a "foundational" book that Oz badly misestimated the publication date on. And he said that book wouldn't be informative anyway.

Is this the guy who guessed Shane Gillis or one of his guys numbers in a living room? Like in of those pop up podcast where like 9 guys just hanging out drinking recording the BS.

That doesn’t make much sense. For people like Rogan, there would be a lot more value and publicity in blowing it up and exposing it if Oz or his people approached ahead of time to set the bit up rather than playing along, for what?

You gonna offer Joe Rogan $5k?? lol

It’s obviously tricks and he’s a master manipulator and is able to guide people to unknowingly do what he wants. It’s not “magic” but that doesn’t mean it’s not crazy impressive
