Having read your story a couple weeks ago, I don't have no frickin idea who it was. Maybe some old geezer. But I remember being mad at reading all that and still no suspect.
but there is some crazy scary SOB roaming the streets and its just a matter of time til he kills

who do you think did it ?
I'm trying to remember all the details of the story, but even though the cops eliminated the weird neighbor as a suspect I still think him (or his sister) had something to do with it.

That was a hell of a story. My guess is The Watcher is the neighbors behind the house -OR- the mail lady. I would have had so many cameras around that house, it would rival fort knox.

I am just playing devil's advocate here, but I don't think the family wants to actually sell it. If they were approached about making it into a movie, they could easily get what the home is worth in a movie rights deal and simply move on.
Still creepy as frick though.

Can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent on longform.org reading their crime stories
it’s my favorite way to pass time when I can’t sleep

Posted one of these earlier in the week. The 2 or 3 of you that can read past a 6th grade level ( I assume the those are the same that received their primary education outside the State of LA)seemed to have enjoyed it.
So I will start a new OT tradition intended to introduce learned thinking and literacy to the great unwashed masses of the OT,that most assuredly will will mocked and mimicked by the lesser amongst you.
and I'll most likely stop doing it out of boredom
but for now

Yes that was very anticlimactic. I was really hoping something big happened at the end.

The first third of the story was good but it fell off. I enjoyed the WBR story you posted more because it told the story and then retold the “real” story from his perspective
