Well, this is directly from the mouth of Christ
quote:

there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences

1) earthquakes - check (3,489 so far in 2020)

2) pestilence - check (record locust swarms in Africa)

3) famine - if enough people get sick, then famine will kick in either by stores closed, or wrecked economy

So he might very well be right.

This reminds me of 1985. The apocalypse will be more awesome this time.

My theory for these types of folks is that the Cold War really fricked with a lot of people’s heads.

At the height of it, there was a very real possibility of the world literally, imminently ending. And the anxiety that surrounds that intense of a threat is difficult for some people to shake lose. So after the Cold War ended, rather than calming down and finding some degree of internal peace, many people began desperately searching and latching onto the next possible “world ending” event. Whether that’s Y2K, race wars, enslavement by the new world order, or the actual end of times, those folks who were certain that the world was going to end in the 80s have had to become creative in finding new outlets to channel that anxiety. And creative they have certainly been. And then of course with the rise of social media, those folks have been able to constantly reinforce each other’s anxieties and just blown them up even further. It’s a really weird mix of fascinating and sad.

What kind of looser attitude was that? I hated the Cold War zeitgeist!

The end of that shite is when we got our swagger back.

I hear you man...mine is a complete looney tune about this crap as well. I have no idea what nonsense he is preaching during the current goings on. I had to write him off a few years ago, when it was mentioned that I meditate, he actually said to me with a straight face to "be careful because that is how demons take control over you". On that note...I was finished and embarrassed by the relation.

I’m not a believer. But I find arrogant people like you irritating, the way you condescend that anyone who believes in God “needs it to cope”, while you’re so strong."

This is rich talk. You need to take a glance in the mirror and hold it for a little while.
