Would they though??? The recruitment and grooming of children for sexual purposes is not unknown to anyone who would align themselves with an organized religion, especially the Catholic Church, but all sects do it as a basic foundational tenet. All Christians are dangerous to children because some Christians are pedophiles and it is not unknown....it is just the opposite, well known.

I'm not Catholic, so someone can correct me if I'm mistaken, but this reads like the dioceses wouldn't have been able to do much to these guys if they were aware of their abuse.
The dioceses appear to have been forthcoming and cooperative with the investigation otherwise.

About 200 Million Americans self identify as being Christian. About 1.5 Million Americans self identify as being trans...given that it is an absolute, irrefutable fact that both groups exist for no other purpose than to groom children for sex it would seem that doing something about the 200 million, which no doubt includes many of the 1.5 million as well, would be the better place to start, unless of course your goal is to protect as many groomers as possible....

These are numbers all the way back to 1950. The percentage of pedos in the clergy is not any larger than the general population.

No doubt true but there are a heaping pile of facilitators footing the bill with knowledge of the situation...the information is well known in all organized religions. If you belong you are either a groomer, a pedophile yourself or a facilitator of the 2. We all know that the entirety of the trans community and anyone who does not fancy the idea of rounding them up and placing them in re-education camps or worse is guilty of exactly the same thing...what is good for the goose is, as they say, good for the gander....

The number of sexual deviants is far higher in the Clergy than it is in the general population. An adult who commits to celibacy, by choice, for life is a sexual deviant by definition...

The nature of churches makes it far easier for the groomers to do their work. All churches, not just Catholic churches. Sunday school, onsite schools, the appeal to families...everything about all organized religion screams "GROOMER"....as a society we really should legislate the age at which a person can attend church. We have to protect the children. Parents should not be allowed to choose where their kids go and who they associate with...that is clearly a function of the state.
