If you are going on safari to hunt these exotic animals, you need to do this on your own. No body guards to shoot the animal in case you miss. Just you, your gun and the beast. That way if you miss, they win.

That's just brilliant. They just have to guess which animal is old, no longer breeding, and is a detriment to the conservation of the species. All by themselves with no expert guidance.

This happened in June 2017 - why the outrage now?

Something about an African newspaper found the article and tweeted about it.

Almost as if they were trying to cause an outrage, since the original post didn’t stir up enough.

Because that south african conservation group or whatnot probably just now ran across her photos and decided it's time to try and ruin her life because she hurt their fee fees.

And, those animals can absolutely wreak havoc on the land and town. To the point of them not being able to farm the land, do humans not have a right to go about their daily lives without the fear of getting mauled by a lion or trampled by an elephant the same as a perfectly good, ‘harmless’ animal has a right to not get shot by a human?

Furthermore, these people act like what’s going on here is they’re gut shooting the animal and letting it suffer to death. It’s like they forgot that nature in itself is fricking brutal. Like they’ve never watched Nat Geo. It’s a helluva lot less painful for the animal when it’s shot in the heart and dropped right there than it is when a fricking lion pride mauls it to death.

I hunt basically everything you can legally pursue in the state of Louisiana but the thought of hunting a giraffe is simply ridiculous

She killed a management giraffe that was too old to bread and had killed 3 other heathy giraffes that were still able to bread.

Not to mention she was able to get a ton of meat.

I don’t see what the problem is.

Boo, it ain't that simple. I don't know about that particular animal but with many exotic hunts, they could have been tracking that thing for days to killed that specific one.

It might be that simple... might not. The guides obviously knew this giraffe and his patterns pretty well to know how old it was and that it had killed three younger males.

They probably had a good idea of exactly when and where to find him.

Not guaranteed though.

I wouldn’t care to ever hunt a giraffe, but if the local village was going to kill it anyway, why not make someone pay them 50k to do it?
Exactly.

The same thing happened with that rhino recently. It was blind, old, and attacking other animals, but some white guy shot it so “rabble rabble rabble”.

I know you seem to be really worked up about a girl shooting a giraffe.

While you simultaneously ignore the other information about why it was shot.

So, that makes you a emotion driven little bitch.

See how that works?

Read it, baw.

Still dumb to do and just gives anti-hunter crowds the ammunition they want. Some are capable of seeing things from multiple perspectives.

And you if she NEEDED to kill the animal, it’s dumb as frick to post all kinds of stupid arse photos the way she did. Again, it gives the anti-hunt crowd the ammunition they want

I said it earlier. I highly doubt a woman in Kentucky gives a shite about "outraged" actors in Hollywood. I can see things from multiple perspectives too and would do as she has and simply explain the facts. Those idiots that are outraged aren't worth the time arguing with.

I wouldn't of had a full on photo shoot with the animal but I definitely would take and post a few pictures if it was me.

I like to do a full photoshoot when I arrow a big doe. If I paid all that money and successfully killed my target I would absolutely take pictures. I love to photo document things like that

Now, I would be cautionary as to what I did with those pictures. I wouldn't be putting them all over the internet, but I don't believe she did that in the first place

I’m not a hunter, but I’m not against hunting - so long as you plan on eating the animal.

This is senseless to me. Find something else “fun” to do instead of hunting and killing an animal just to say you killed an animal.

This is the one and only time I’ll join the outrage.

What kind of a-hole shoots a giraffe?

Why do you hunt deer? Hogs? Alligator?

When you stop doing the very activity you are fighting to protect to avoid giving the opposition "ammunition", they no longer need the ammunition because they've already won.
