I'm only Jewish in monetary policy. I don't know enough about the religion to spell the little hat correctly.

Seems like a waste of a dry cleaned suit.

Waste of a dry cleaned suit versus showing respect to the family and the deceased. Tough call.

Why did you ask if you weren't going to listen?

What would you wear? Suit is out of the question
As someone who is married to a Jew from Queens by way of Greenie land - bring a roll of $20.00 and slip into the nearest relatives of the deceased - they will not care if you are naked or wearing a Purple Rain suit.

Well if you're completely against wearing a suit, just wear nice slacks, a matching jacket, and nice button up.

Top it off with a tie.

Wear a suit--you won't be in it near as long as the guy they bury.

Bump for update.

I went. Slacks and button up were fine. I saw golf shirts and many more who were dressed like me. I DID see many suits. But all was fine. I would have been miserable in a suit in the heat.

Brings up other questions... This was a Jewish cemetery. Small simple headstones for each grave. Very old and very small piece of land. Grave etiquette? I was always taught to walk around graves and tread around the gravesite. Don't walk over a grave or dirt. Obviously if vault is above ground dont walk across that.

Today I saw a guy walk across stepping from headstone to headstone like stepping stones? WTF? What is your etiquette? What did your Mommas teach you?
