Again. Social security is quite literally welfare. That is what they called it when they designed it. That’s what it is today.

No it's not. The idea is sound, but since its inception has been manipulated into a ponzi. POS men in power fricked such a simple idea up.

They literally say it is a welfare program in the fricking god damn text of the mother fricking act.

Words.

Have.

fricking.

Meaning.

quote:

AN ACT to provide for the general welfare by establishing a system of Federal old-age benefits, and by enabling the several States to make more adequate provision for aged persons, blind persons, dependent and crippled children, maternal and child welfare, public health, and the administration of their unemployment compensation laws; to establish a Social Security Board; to raise revenue; and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

It's not welfare. SS is tracked. Any welfare queen not gaining income is, well, welfare.

What? That's what I was saying. SSI is a sound idea that was taken away from retired Americans to fund other programs. A Ponzi. Wake the frick up.

saying that social security is welfare that has contributed 22% towards the debt is dishonest. Social Security has generated significant cash surpluses for the U.S. government, totaling nearly $900 billion since 1965.

No human can truly comprehend the reality of that type of money. You might as well just have a random number generator.

Here is a shot at depicting $30T

Apparently Social Security still pays for itself. It's other areas where there is overspending.

Medicare is one place that needs some serious reform or an increase in taxes.

Also, you also have to be careful not to disrupt the economy with a tax increase on personal income. Maybe work a Medicare tax increase with a jump on the employer side of Medicare taxes. I was looking at my W-2 and thought Medicare taxes seemed low for expected future Medicare costs.

Defense is important, but those fat-cat defense contractors with no-bid contracts charging $8,000 for a bolt are as much at fault as anything.

Trump wants to increase defense spending to $5 Trillion.

Wait until you see prices at the grocery store after they print all that money.

SS. is not an entitlement for the ones who paid into it. Just a poor mandatory investment forced on them by the G.
