Not very well known until recently, M.M. is using various avenues to drive change; including Facebook and rallies/protests all over the country. Most recently she is addressing the evident racism at the Mars facility. "Why are there no white M&M.'s represented in their chief product line?", asks M.M. She of course tried to plea with the company to expand their line to include disenfranchised candies of color, but the company's response, as she said, "was sickening."

The issue, according to her, went all the way to the top and ultimately garnered a response from CEO Grant Reid. According to M.M., he personally reached out to her and calmly explained that aesthetic decisions about their product line are made after extensive market research. "He is clearly a member of the brown majority, and does not understand that he is inherently a racist," explains M.M.
