I haven't used an electric razor since I was in high school. But I remember hating it. Switch to a safety razor. Your face will thank you.

I normally use a safety razor but when travelling I use a Phillips One Blade.

I have used a Braun. Got tired of Lea the house with pieces of Kleenex stuck on my face. It does a decent job and if you need a touch up for the evening it is easy. Whatever brand you choose get the washable model where you can clean it with water. Mine recharges with a plug-in.

I've always used Norelco's but I don't have any experience with the others to give a comparison. They work okay for me though I'm sure there are better ones out there

May I ask why you'd downgrade to an electric razor?

I can tell people who use an electric razor because they are always patchy and at different lengths. They never truly look "clean shaven." I had one several years ago and I pretty much had to punch that thing into my face to get a decent shave.

Get an adjustable one like the Rockwell T2.

Single blade safety razor, pre shave oil, and shaving cream that you lather up in your hand. The old school way as some would say.

Philips Norelco since 1995 - once you switch, you'll never want to use a razor again.

Philips Norelco

ETA: LOL- I have never once used shaving cream with my electric shaver...

I’ve kept a very short and neat beard the last several years but like the change up to being clean shaven lately and my neck gets irritated with my Gillette 5 blade razor. I do a hot towel and then shaving cream followed by after shave too. Wanted electric to cut down on the irritation

pre shave oil,

This is a good tip.

You don't need anything fancy. Just some baby oil. (mineral oil.)

Give a brush a shot. Get a decent soap, lather up in a bowl, the real old school way.

Wait until Christmas and ask for a Noelco.

I've tried every electric shaver I could find, no good.

Good shaving cream and a quality multi-blade hand-held razor for me.
