For the most part, yes, but some are not as bad as others.

I'm built like a Greek God and I drink Sprite Zero. That is the only carbonated beverage I drink and I have one maybe once or twice a week.

Diet sodas WILL increase your cravings, as does any sugar or sugar substitute. The only time I crave sweets now is after I drink a Sprite Zero.

The clear sodas are better than any colored soda as well.

Hope this helps.

I think this is dependent on the person. I never crave sweets because of drinking a diet soda. I don't eat any more than I did when I was drinking regular soda. I actually eat less and better foods. It's not that hard to get your diet more in line while still allowing yourself a beverage that has no ill effects on weight or health.

It's better than drinking a Gatorade which is packed with just as much sugar as a Coke.

All it does is make me thirsty. So I almost always have to drink water afterwards.

You and I are in agreement, to a degree.

I am eating much cleaner now and my craving for sweets is almost completely gone. And I ate a TON of sweets before. TON. Now I never crave them, unless I have a Sprite Zero. LOL. My only conclusion is the sugar substitute.

But, like you, due to my diet, I do not crave sweets overall.

This is absolutely correct.

I find that a diet soda helps satisfy my sugar cravings. The only time I actually crave one is when I am doing a really low carb diet.

The research is still ambiguous on whether or not they're truly bad. However, they are definitely not doing anything good for you.

Thanks, brother. Congrats to you as well. It sounds like you've been on the journey, too. And yeah, it's pretty funny when morbidly obese people are giving shite about diet cokes.

Thanks! Yeah, I do. I remember being so tired and sluggish before dropping the weight. I was either sleeping or eating pretty much the whole day.

Not only this, but your body thinks it just had sugar. So all of those horrid high carb, fat depositing systems in your body kick in.

How can that happen if there are no carbs to deposit in said systems? It's not going to make it up out of thin air...
