OT Watch people: Bought my first watch

I was buying myself Christmas presents on amazon and looking at watches, asked a few people for recs and they said DW. when I searched amazon had a St. Mawes on sale for $86 regular $229 and it said 1 left in stock so I rushed and bought it.
did I do a good job? its rose gold and 40mm, the more I look at it the more I want the silver, which I also saw for around $90
I was looking at a fossil and the person I asked said don't get a fossil. Are they bad now or something?

It's considered a fashion watch in the watch community but it's simplicity makes it a great looking watch. Probably overpriced for a simple quartz but wear what makes you happy. I think it looks great.

Also, you can get the same exact quartz watch on alliexpress with or without the logo for like 10 bucks. Huge markup on fashion watches.

when I saw $86 I was thinking that was a lot then I saw regular $229. idk why anyone would pay that much for such a simple watch, even if for the name ive never heard of DW

For $90 in that style I don't think you can beat that. I know a ballin' lawyer who wears that one.

It's a $10-15 quartz watch Daniel Wellington slapped their logo on and sold it to you "on sale" for almost a $100.
