im not going to spend a lot of time on this because
Your dog has general pruritus.
Most common cause is allergies
most common allergies in dogs are food and environmental
since it is whole body generalized most likely culprit is environmental since you've tried elimination already. This is considering you did not mess up the elimination diet. Not saying you did or didnt.
probiotics wont stop allergic reaction. Apoquel is the most likely solution. You can do allergy testing to confirm what could be in environment your dog is allergic to.

I am certain the problem can be fixed with diet or probiotics.

When your butt is itching, you just use your hands. All a dog can do is drag their butt in a circle. Look up this phrase, expressing dog anal glands.

Looks like I’m gonna have to bite the bullet and try the pharmaceuticals. Thanks to all responded. I really appreciate it.

We had a lab years ago who as he got older started the constant scratching/licking allergy stuff.
Old country vet gave us some stuff for the yeast from the licking and told us to give him Claritin everyday. It cured him, but wasn’t over the counter at the time so it was pricy.

My dog has grass allergies and I give him apoquel in the morning and crush a bendedryl in his food at night to offset and help him sleep. You can buy Ashwaghanda gummies and give him a couple at bedtime as well. Sign up on Costco for the apoquel after getting the prescription from your vet, It will save you at least $20 for a 30 day supply and they’ll deliver it to you.
