OT picks the Best Christmas Song – Round of 16 – VOTE NOW

I have seen the error of my ways and have fixed the tournament voting method. I did count the write in votes from the round of 32 and it only affected one matchup. More on that in a minute. As an apology, I have created a Spotify playlist of the top 32 Christmas songs from the last round. Please enjoy:

Now let’s break down the previous round. In an unsurprising showing, most of the favorites won with only a few variances. Notable upsets include the modern SJW Christmas anthem “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” knocking Queen Mariah and “All I Want For Christmas” off her perch. Also, the most nominated song and overall number 1 seed “Please Come Home for Christmas” by Aaron Nevil was defeated by 16 seed “Winter Wonderland”. The only matchup affected by the write in votes from the previous round was the 7/10 matchup in the Jolly Bracket in which TSO’s “Christmas Cannon” narrowly defeated Darlene Love’s “Christmas”. The Closest matchup of the previous round was “Oh Holy Night” over “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” by a tally of 58 to 53. I will continue to tally the write invotes for those who prefer to vote that way. It's the way the MTV board has done it for years.

Again, please remember that you are voting for the song more so than the specific artist listed. I will keep the voting open until Sunday at midnight and will bump as necessary. I will be in ATL this weekend for the SECCG, so I may not bump too much tomorrow... but I will try.
