I had to sit down when she told me. I was overcome.

Can you elaborate? I'm not sure i completely understand you.

Sorry bro if I left a thread and didn't respond. I have to run out to some property a few times a day for business. Will try harder.
Say what?
I am talking about lsutigerinbama...the dude who posted the story I quoted above. It was from this thread from several years ago.

I don't want to talk about it 'cuz it scares the shyt out of people and didn't want to alarm the OP. Told people about it before and their kids had nightmares for a year. Felt bad about it.
We can handle it.
Seriously, go for it.

Here is the teaser. I hae to go do some work in a bit and probably won't type out the rest before I leave.
I can't give much of an account of what I have experienced without starting at the beginning of the story. Rewind back to my middle school days. I was in the EBR school system (magnet) and ran across some weird people that I befriended.
We used to hang out a lot, have sleepovers, ect. They used to always tell me weird things, stories, events..... Looking back in time now, I think they were probably wikken. Used to talk of "casting spells" and "magic".
One day they decided to kill themselves. They both hung themselves in their bathtubs. It was pretty traumatizing.
Fast forward 8 years or so. I was on my way to my calculus class (LSU) the morning of sept 11, 2001. By the next time I am seen, I'm enlisted in the army.
So fast forward a few more years. I'm in Iraq. I do not want to get really detailed, but let's just leave it at this: the locals in a particular region disliked me very much. Specifically me. I've never heard of "hajji voodoo" or any such nonsense, but the dislike came from taking a life.
So that phase of my life ends without much issue, I guess. At this point in my life I am in my early 20's. I'm very.....what's the best way to describe it... I sleep on the floor alone in my place because I wanted to. I never sat with people behind me, I distrusted strangers, even friends.
I wasn't very sociable. The reason I am bringing this up now is to point out that during this time of my life when I returned home, no one would be around me when I was asleep. Ever.
So another year passes or so, and I am pleasantly surprised to meet and court my future wife. We move in together and that's when things start getting really weird

You can't alarm me. I'm pretty callous to a lot of this.
OK from my experience I'd recommend you let her come sleep with you whenever she gets scared. Consider the Michael Invocation - I can recommend from personal experience. If you notice personality changes you might want to talk to a minister about it. Hopefully it's just her imagination though. Pay attention to any mood swings or personality changes in your family members.

I mean she's heard you talk about this stuff before...not TO her, but just in general. You are usually prevalent in these types of threads, and like I said you've already mentioned that you believe in things like "the veil" and that kinda stuff. So I'm saying she's most likely heard something from you (or someone else) that has her mind on these kinds of things, and a child's mind and imagination can do all sorts of things and make them believe that things are real.
IMO she's heard about "ghosts" from someone (maybe you/your wife even) and her mind is playing tricks on her*. shite, I remember a kid I went to daycare with told us a story about things he saw at his house that freaked us the frick out and actually gave me nightmares. Turns out I think he had just watched a Freddy movie and was telling us about it. But I'll be damned if it didn't freak me out to the point of nightmares. I was prolly around 7.
*Geto Boys shoutout.

A young man in my family, probably about 3 at the time, wouldn't sleep in a room in the house they just moved into because he said there was blood on the walls. Nobody could see blood on the walls, it was a very nice house in a very nice neighborhood.
He never slept in the room their entire time there. My wife and I did and didn't see or experience anything though.

Confusing. You were on your way to calculus and then magically were enlisted in the army? I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

Had this same issue...removed all my door handles so the "imaginary friends" kept bumping into doors...problem solved...guess they got hungry b/c the noises eventually stopped and the restaurant next door now has new "friends".

But what's with the hajiis? That makes no sense. Is he saying they "sensed" that he killed someone?
These threads are rarely more than troll bait. Entertaining though.

I was sledding with the kids Saturday when this little guy about 3-4 came over and started pointing out the ghosts on the lake ice at the bottom of the hill. I was there an hour, and he kept telling me what these ghosts were doing.
Didn't think much about it but when I got home and started looking at the pictures I had taken, there were fresh footprints in the snow exactly where he pointed out the "ghosts."

Right. I meant the "next time I'm seen" statement.

No she hasn't. It is seldom that I ever voice my experiences IRL and that's usually very late at night around a campfire or something, not with kids around.

Part of me believes it because my experiences have been so vivid. Another part of me is a skeptic and chalks it up to an overactive imagination.

Perhaps she read about Harold Ramis and this is her tribute.
