Do you live in an old house? I'd get the best description I could from her and check the house history.

It was not what she said (dogs do not talk), it was how she acted and what she did.

No other explanation? Sorry to hear about your son.

Ghost really don't leave the house. They are bond to IT and whatever event took place. It could be a new house that you live in but don't overlook that it's on older land. Who knows what happened on that land before you moved there
Keep in mind that land may have been there for hundreds of years, maybe more.

I think your kid just has an active imagination and nothing more.

I find this topic intriguing, but I don't believe this type of thing. Would think the OP daughter is just going through a phase of greater imagination.

Having experienced hypnogogic hallucinations my entire life I can tell you it's as real as anything else you experience while you are in it. Once you've established that you're still in the dream though, poof! it's gone. I had them bad as a kid as a side effect of night terrors. Which is really kind of the same thing. Kids brains are still wiring themselves and sometimes things get crossed up for lack of a better term. I don't remember much about the ones when I was really young but the ones since them tend to follow the norm. Little old lady in black in the corner of the room that you can't really see her face. Friends and family that are dead coming to visit. Rats and snakes and whatever else in the bed with you. All that stuff you hear about that you're supposed to be afraid of shows up and it's as real as you and me right then.
I worked with a psychologist as a little kid to get control of the night terrors consciously though, and once I learned to do that, these things actually started sticking after I was awake because while I was consciously controlling the dream, coming to wakeful conscious control didn't seem any different so the dream would follow me out. Took me a long time and a psych degree to understand what was happening. Now it's just something I deal with. Wake up in terror looking at some old lady at the foot of the bed and instantly go, oh, this again, and poof! gone. Roll over and go back to sleep.
The problem is that I might mention what I'm seeing to my wife before I get fully awake and it completely freaks her the hell out.

I used to see wierd things when I was a child. I have one image that is clear, and I will never forget it. My parents and sisters would freak out when I talked about it. It probably stopped when I was around 10. Don't know if it was real, or just something in my brain while it was developing.

When my 10 year old was two he would tell me he plays with a little boy who looks like him.
He has a brother who is two years older than him that died at a week old. He would have turned 12 today.

Anyone else dealt with this sort of thing?
My 3 yr old daughter tells my wife and I she sees her brother sometimes. My wife delivered a stillborn son 1 yr before my daughter was born. Obviously we have no pictures in the house of our son. However, our daughter has mentioned this multiple times since she was about 2. When she does we just talk about her brother being in Heavan watching over her. Sometimes in her room we hear her talking to "my brother".

Lived in a haunted house as a kid. Multiple people saw same things at same time - so doubt it was my imagination. Won't go into details.

I don't know if I'm concerned. I'm intrigued. If it was just one thing, I'd dismiss it. It's the details and unprompted frankness of it all, plus my own experiences, that make me wonder.
