what brand of paint did you use

Valspar from Lowes. It wasn't the cheap stuff. I have never seen that happen before. I have used water, spic n span, and the TSP. That shite keeps on coming back. Its the only room in the house like that and the room right next to it was painted withteh same grade of paint and a slightly different color. No problems there.

Im going to clean it, prime it and get something else. I just don't want that shite coming back through the next paint job.

Now that's perplexing if you painted another room with the same brand paint and are having no problems. If, after painting it again, and this comes back, then you know it's not the paint but something else going on.

Are all the walls in this one room like that, or just one or two? I'm stumped to be honest.

Chalking is usually associated with exterior paint of lower quality that is exposed to long periods of direct sunlight. I'm not saying it can't happen with interior coatings, because it can, but it's much less common.

I'd prime the chalking wall with Kilz or a high quality primer and then recoat. If you're using cheap paint, it may happen again. I doubt there was any manufacturing issue causing the problem, but I wouldn't use the same pail of paint again (if you have any left). Good luck.

You've probably eaten shrimp or other seafood treated with this stuff. No joke.

EDIT: It's not as concentrated and it's food grade, though.

ask Sherwin Williams.

My experience has been you do not save money buying paint from anybody else because quality is so varied. Sherwin Williams has good people to answer questions too.

Put a coat of poly over it.

I'd contact the paint manufacturer.

Did you paint that room on a really humid or cold day? Weird that it's the only one doing it, but that frosting well just keep coming thru. Prime over with an oil based primer, then repaint. This should keep the frosting from returning.
