Back in early spring I had medial epicondylitis surgery (golfers elbow surgery) on my elbow and was told that I should be pain free 12 weeks after. I’m now nearly 6 months in and although the pain has gotten better, it’s still definitely there. I feel like my recovery is beginning to plateau and that I won’t get any better than it is now.

I still feel the same exact pain as before the surgery but just not as severe. I still can’t use that arm to lift the blade lever on my zero turn, I can’t put a lot of pressure on that arm and hand, and I still can’t really pick up my kids without wincing.

I’m worried the surgeon either fricked up or that I’m just destined to not heal from this. Is this normal at this stage post surgery?

It’s kinda hard to stick my dick in my elbow. Besides, with a blasian wife I really have no reason to jerk off. Most of the time.

Just because you’re not 18 anymore and not 100% pain free doesn’t mean your doctor messed up.

Talk to your surgeon first.

Get a second opinion.

If you are in LA, if there is an issue you only have a year to invoke a medical panel review process, which is required before you sue. In other words, talk to an attorney sooner rather than later.

I broke mine in the same spot when I was a kid. Took 5 years to get it to normal. Elbow injuries are a bitch.

lol wut

Having a less than perfect surgical outcome isn’t a reason to sue, unless the doctor did something egregious that completely strayed from standard of care. I’m sure the consents he signed stated that he is consenting with the known risk of continued pain after surgery.

1200 calories a day until you lose fitty pounds.

Then you can get your stomach stapled.

I love it when someone tries to be a smart arse and corrects someone and is actually wrong themselves, like you just did here

Lateral epicondylitis = tennis elbow

medial epocondlyitis = golfers elbow

Could you not ask a doctor?

I asked my doctor but if he screwed up then obviously his answers are going to be a little skewed. I was just wondering if there are any ortho doctors here who could tell me if it’s normal to still have this much pain or not.
