We were so poor when I was a kid if I didn't wake up with a hard on neither me nor my sisters had anything to play with all day.....

The big metal clothes line T's in everyone's back yard. Even with a dryer my grandmama still hung sheets and table cloths outside. Older neighborhoods they were in every back yard.

Aluminum foil wrapped around a Hershey and crunch bars.

Slamming the phone down after telling someone how you really feel.

People not being so fricking touchy and offended

Long distance phone calls ( I would meet a girl every other month at some camp and of course they lived in a different Parrish ) my dad Got a lot of free labor out of me. I cut a lot of fricking grass to "pay off that phone bill"

Being fricking weird was frowned upon, now it's rewarded with some activist group

Loosing or not making a team and it being motivation to work harder, not rewarded for "trying"

Smoking in restaurants, bars, planes, schools

Football coaches yelling and cursing at you when you screwed up

Having to mail letters (because I had my phone disconnected from calling long distance poon)

LSU football being shitty

MTV actually playing Music

Being siked for the launch of Cartoon Network, then pissed when I realized I didn't get it in my area

Going away for the weekend no one being able to contact you unless they called the hotel you were staying

Playing baseball outside all day, all summer long with your friends

Fully loaded trucks costing under 12K

No "hydration" time outs during a football game. It was called a defensive stop and the offense was on the field

No hand sanitizer

School starting at 7:15

Riding the bus to school until I was old enough to drive. Then I still rode it because I kept making long distance calls

Call waiting was for the "rich"

Cordless phones

TV guides

Having to wait around the stereo with your finger on record to catch your favorite song and pray the DJ didn't talk going into it or end it early

having to actually remember somebodys phone number
