Aren't the Marines part of the Navy? Technically, someone could call him sailor and be correct

Those who never walked it, will never understand. And quite honestly, don't deserve a response.

The Department of the Navy and the United States Navy aren't the same thing.

I've known plenty of assholes in the military, and it wasn't specific to branch of service. If you're an a-hole, that doesn't change depending on which uniform you wear. Some stereotypes are true, and some are just fun to throw around and give other services shite about.

Was that written by a Marine who happens to be a tatted and roided up guy from a small town who drives a lifted entry level Tundra and now works a blue collar job?

One of the things I admire most is that the U.S. Marines wear (essentialy) the same uniform from that same time period. They do an exceptional job of maintaining their heritage and history.

Not even a little funny.

Very uncool.

I'm a former Marine and I chuckled.

These are very nice vintage recruiting ads for the USMC. Thanks for posting. Today I learned something new. This is the first time that I have ever heard of the Marines self-referring as "Sea Soldiers" or "Soldiers of the Sea."

That settles it. Members of the USMC are Soldiers, but, are Soldiers of the Sea

What about rivers and lakes? Are there any Soldiers of the Rivers or Soldiers of the Lakes?
