OT Lounge, what are your thoughts on Robot Lawn Mowers?

I dont mind it though, sometimes it's relaxing to be away from everyone and on a lawnmower. No one is gonna try to have a conversation over the noise, and sometimes listening to music with headphones is nice.

but what does burying wires have to do with patio furniture. it was an off the cuff comment about how shitty a lot of robovac are and gets stuck in the oddest places. and if you have a chair out in your yard, this would probably get stuck under it.
you see jokes are ruined when someone isnt, "there" enough to get them.

I’ve seen them as low as $500 and as high as $3000 - that’s a big variance. I would either continue with my current guy or cut it myself- my time is valuable but that cost is a little over the top

If it bounces around like a vacuum it would take way longer than a regular mower and use a lot more energy
