OT Help Needed - Middle Back / Rib Cage Pain after sleeping

Not sure what's going on here the past week or so but it's like someone hit me in the back of rib cage with a baseball bat when I wake up in the morning. No issues until a couple weeks ago. Now I can barely turn over in middle of night or get out of bed without pain. Back Sleeper FWIW - any help is appreciated! Once I'm up, pain goes away after walking around

Currently sleep on Tempurpedic with MyPillow topper. Been that way for 4 months or so

Did you go to bed the night before with a tranny? If yes, then I have your answer but you're not gonna like it.

tell Brayden to stop taking cuts at his dad in the middle of the night.

It's called nighttime kidney failure. Once you are standing erect, the blood flows clears the issue. It is caused by aids.

at least not with a machete

Where the ribs meet the spine, they can get out of line. Phys therapist or chiro can pop em back in place. Mucles hold them in place, so its possible some exercises will be necessary to strengthen the muscle .
Not a doctor, but that was my experience in the past

In all seriousness, could be lung related

Thoracic disc herniation

It amazes me the amount of people that will come to a message board (especially the OT) with legitimate health problems. Go to a friggin doctor

Almost sounds like a pinched nerve, but honestly it could be a lot of things. I'd go to the doc.

Either thoracic herniation or facet joint issue.

Yikes. I'm sure that's not what he was looking to hear.
Good luck OP. There's some good information on billboards in north BR.
